Tournament Overview
The NCPGA, Sacramento Golf Council and the Haggin Oaks Team are excited to host the NCPGA Legends Championship at the classic Alister Mackenzie GC @ Haggin Oaks on Tuesday & Wednesday, April 29-30, 2025.
The inaugural NCPGA Legends event was held in 2022 for professionals only with great success. The field was expanded to include amateur golfers in 2023. The tournament is open to amateurs ages 70 and above and will be played at roughly 5,700 yards.
The competition will be stroke-play over 36 holes at scratch (18 holes each day). Tee times will begin at 1:00pm on Tuesday and 10:00am on Wednesday. The first day will be Professionals paired with Professionals, and Amateurs with Amateurs. The second round, however, will be paired by score.
The entry fee is $175, and the entry deadline is April 21st. A highlight of the event is the Reunion lunch held prior to the beginning of the first round on Tuesday, April 29th. The entry fee includes the Reunion lunch, golf fees, cart, warm-up range balls, prize fund and light snacks after each round.
The amateur player with the lowest gross total score will be declared the Amateur Champion. If a tie occurs for the Top Amateur or the Top Overall, a sudden victory playoff will commence immediately following play from the 1st tee. The NCPGA will distribute checks to the top Professionals and Haggin Oaks will distribute gift cards to the top Amateurs.
The Championship will be conducted using the Golf Genius Software, including communication, pairings and scoring. All play will be in groups of three to ensure a proper pace of play.
The entry deadline is April 21, 2025. There will be no refunds after this date. Withdrawals prior to the entry deadline will be assessed a $10 cancellation fee.
