Site of the Northeast Amateur, a 1914 Donald Ross design known as one of the finest in New England. Thick rough lines its narrow fairways, while the large greens are undulating and hard to read. "Golf Digest" rated this course 47th best out of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for the years 1995-96, and 52nd in 1997-98. The same publication also rated it as the "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998.
