Evans claims Berkshire Trophy
BERKSHIRE, England (June 23, 2013) — Ryan Evans hoisted the Berkshire Trophy on Sunday in England.
His final-round 69 captured the title by one stroke over Vaughan McCall, who also fired 69 on Sunday.
Evans, who shot eight-under par for all 72 holes, was one of just seven other golfer to have 72-hole totals under par.
The Berkshire Trophy is held annually in June and is an important 72-hole Tournament in the R&A Calendar for amateurs with a handicap of +1 or better. One only has to view the distinguished list of winners since the tournament's inception to recognize the importance of the event.

both The Blue and The Red Course at
Berkshire
Golf Club on the Saturday as the qualifying
rounds with the leading 40 scores and ties
going through to play two further rounds on
The Red Course on the Sunday. If two or more
players are tied after 72 holes they share the trophy;
there is no playoff.
