On July 11 at Oakland's historic
Sequoyah
Country Club, another 10-year-old, Lucy Li of Redwood Shores, Calif.,
matched Latanna Stone's 2012 feat by
qualifying for
the 2013 U.S. Women's Amateur.
Li fired 75 to qualify for her second USGA
tournament this year. (And no, the other one
wasn't the Junior, it was the Public Links
where
she made match play and set the record as
the youngest-ever to do so.)

Reigning Women's Dixie Amateur
champion Isabelle Lendl medaled at the
qualifier held at the Country Club of York in
Pennsylvania. The 9th-ranked player in the
world, according to the
Golfweek/amateurgolf.com player rankings,
Lendl fired a 69 to lead a group of seven
qualifiers.

Highly-ranked Massachusetts amateur
Megan Khang, 16, who has
won
multiple professional
events, led all qualifiers at the Oak Hill Country
Club (Fitchburg,
Mass.) sectional. The Rockland, Mass. native
and
No. 15 ranked
player in the Golfweek Junior Girls rankings,
shot
a
69 to clear the
field by three shots.

Mai of Poway, Calif. fired a 69 to take
second place at Troon
North in Scottsdale, Ariz. Mai was one of five

moved on at the
qualifier.
