Oglethorpe Invitational: Jack Hall wins 3rd title
Jack Hall
Jack Hall

SAVANNAH, Ga. (July 28, 2013) -- The final round of the Oglethorpe Invitational was setup as a battle of youth vs. experience. Tied at 9-under with one round to play were soon-to-be Louisville University golfer Robert Geibel and two-time champion Jack Hall.

Hall, facing an onslaught of sub-70 scores from the players giving chase, fired a final round 67 on top of his first three rounds (66-67-67) to win by two shots at Wilmington Island Club, a 1923 Donald Ross design.

Hall, who also won in 2005 and 2010, topped a field full of collegiate stars and some of the southeast's best amateurs. The Sea Island, Ga. resident is 56 years old, and therefore claims the Senior Oglethorpe title as well.

MJ Maguire, who plays at the University of North Florida, finished tied for second alongside 54-hole co-leader Robert Geibel.
