De Los Reyes takes Concord City
CONCORD, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2013) — St. Mary's College junior Jonathan De Los Reyes won the Concord City Amateur Championship by four shots. De Los Reyes shot 68-69 over the weekend at Diablo Creek Golf Course, winning the second local city championship in less than a month.
The Antioch native won his home city's championship at nearby Lone Tree Golf Club just two weeks ago.
Peyton Smith came in second place, shooting 69-72.
Two players were tied with De Los Reyes at 68 after the first round, including Taylor Hobin and Andrew Leung. Hobin shot 74 on Sunday, finishing in fifth while Leung struggled to a 77 to finish in a tie for seventh.
