Sinnott, Viitakangas lead Master of the Amateurs

MELBOURNE, Australia – Todd Sinnott and Simon Viitakangas of Australia are tied for the 54-hole lead at 6-under in The Australian Master of the Amateurs after both players posted rounds of 2-under 70 on Thursday.
American Cameron Wilson, who plays for Stanford shot 71 and is in third at 4-under while fellow American Max Buckley (72-71-71 – 214, -2) is tied for fifth.
Cal senior Brandon Hagy (who finished 20th in his Master of the Amateurs debut in 2013) shot a two-under par 70 on Thursday to move up another three spots into a tie for seventh place with one round remaining in the prestigious event.

The 2014 Australian Master of the Amateurs Green Jacket Champion will receive an exemption into the 2014 Brabazion Trophy, 2014 British Amateur Championship, The Porter Cup, The Players Amateur, The Dogwood Invitational, and the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship.
