Avondale Medal: Top-ranked Evans wins again

PYMBLE, Australia (Feb. 9, 2014) -- England's Ryan Evans remained hot with a one-stroke victory at the 2014 Avondale Amateur Medal at Avondale Golf Club.
Evans, who snuck into the top ranking in the Golfweek/amateurgolf.com World Player Rankings, recently won the Lake Macquarie Amateur in Australia, and bested another loaded field to boost his top ranking.
Evans shot 68-64-75 over the first three rounds and stormed back to finish atop the leaderboard with a final-round 66.
Harrison Endycott finished alone in second after opening with a pair of 65s.
Harry Casey took third, finishing with rounds of 66-67 to round out the Top 3.
