Rancho Santa Margarita Am: Neale wins in playoff
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. (Feb. 23, 2013) -- Gordon Neale beat former champion and fellow first-round co-leader KK Limbhasut in a two-hole playoff to win the 2014 Rancho Santa Margarita Amateur Championship.
At Tijeras Creek Golf Club, Neale and Limbhasut both shot 69-70 to finish tied atop the leaderboard after the 36 holes of regulation. Neale needed just two extra holes to prevent Limbhasut from winning his second title since 2012.
Jonny Unterman shot 70-71 to take third place while Sean Crocker (73-69) and Nate Park (70-72) tied for fourth place.
Scott Sullivan won the Senior Flight in a playoff over James Renick. Greg Aitkens took solo third, finishing three shots outside the playoff.

Gross-only tournament played the last weekend in February that has attracted the best in Southern California for many years. Max Homa, Cameron Tringale, Beau Hossler, and Stewart Hagestad have all competed. Play in threesomes to ensure a nice pace of play, and the golf course is immaculate.
