Carolinas Sr. Four-Ball: Carpenter, Brown win again
DAVIDSON, NC – Ron Carpenter and Gary Brown showed again how strong they can play as a pair by
winning their second title at the 46th Carolinas Senior Four-Ball Championship at River Run Country Club.
The duo first won the event in 20122 and went 9-under for the win.
“We were really surprised to win honestly,” Brown said to the Carolinas Golf Association. “We figured the
guys behind us would go low.”
Carpenter and Brown finished Wednesday's first round (which was originally set to be played on Tuesday
but postponed due to rain) with a birdie-eagle finish to put them into the final grouping for Thursday's
finale.
“Ron made lots of critical putts from 5 or 6 feet for par to keep us in it," Brown told the CGA. "
