Birmingham National: Tim Jackson takes lead

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (May 31, 2014) -- Tim Jackson shot a second-round 67 to take a two-shot lead into the final round of play at the 2014 Birmingham National Invitational.
At the Country Club of Birmingham, Jackson paired his opening-round 69 with a red-hot Round 2 and leads Craig Smith and Matthew Swan heading into Sunday's action.
Jackson was among three players tied for the lead after Friday's play with the 69. Swan shot a second straight 69 while Aaron Hickman carded a 71 on Saturday to fall into solo fourth place.
Garrett Rank, the 2012 U.S. Mid-Amateur runner-up is tied for fifth alongside Jack Hall, Patrick Christovich and Skip Berkmeyer -- three of the game's other top mid-amateur and senior golfers.
