Florida Mid-Amateur Four Ball North Championship: Marshall and Campione win
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (May 31, 2014) -- Blake Marshall and Bob Campione capped off a fantastic showing at the Mid-Amateur Four Ball-North Championship with a final round 66 to win by a stroke.
Marshall and Campione shot a two-round total of 130 at Haile Plantation Golf and Country Club, and handled a late charge by David Griffin and Matthew Giovannelli in the process. Griffin and Giovannelli fired eight-under 63 today, the low round of the tournament. They finished in solo second at 11-under 131.
University of Florida head golf coach Buddy Alexander and his partner John Handrigan shot 67 in the final round, but could not make up ground on the field, and settled for fifth place at seven-under 135.
