Cameron Wilson sure saved his best for
last.
One of the game's most consistent

over the past three years, Wilson
broke through with a stellar season as a

For his efforts, the Rowayton, Conn. native
was named the Southern Golf
Association's National Amateur of the Month
for
May.
The Ping All-American topped Georgia
Tech's
Ollie Schniederjans in a playoff to win
the NCAA individual championship before
going
2-0 in Stanford's run to the semifinals
of the team competition.
Last month, Wilson won the Western
Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo by defeating
teammate and World No. 1 amateur Patrick
Rodgers for the title.
The national selection panel consists of
notable
golf journalists, officials and
coaches. The coveted March-thru-October
award, now in its 12th year, is one of
many ways the SGA promotes and
advances
amateur golf, including its storied
Southern Amateur, the 108th playing set for
July at the exclusive Honors Course
near Chattanooga.
