Southwestern Amateur: Wright maintains lead
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (June 6, 2014) -- There wasn't much change at the top of the leaderboard Friday at the Southwestern Amateur and that's how leader Zachary Wright preferred it.

Wright, who plays his college golf at LSU, fired a third-round 2-under 68 at Desert Mountain and takes a two-shot advantage into the final round of action on Saturday.

He held a share of the lead after a first-round 66 and rose to the top of the leaderboard Thursday with a 5-under 65 that included a hole-in-one.

Wright enters the final day of action with a two-shot lead over Kyle Jones of Baylor. Jones shot a 4-under 66 on Friday to leap from four shots back.

Canadian Matt Williams remains in the hunt. He shot a second straight 68 and is alone in third place, just three shots back of Wright's leading pace.

Kevin DeHuff of Pepperdine and BYU's Justin Keiley are tied for fourth place and sit five shots behind the leader.

Paul Smith of Cal State Stanislaus shot a 6-under 64 to move into a tie for sixth place while Aaron Wise, an Oregon signee, shot a 7-under 63, the lowest card of the tournament, on Friday to move into the Top 10.
