National Senior Hall of Fame: Lutz edges Lee
Chip Lutz
HIGH POINT, N.C. (June 20, 2014) -- Chip Lutz fired a final-round 69 to clip overnight leader Stan Lee and win the 2014 National Senior Hall of Fame at High Point Country Club.
Lee led for the first two rounds and entered Friday's finale one shot up on Lutz. Lutz' 3-under 69 gave him the cushion he needed and it was enough for a two-shot victory.
Lee carded rounds of 70-73-72 to finish alone in second place.
Two-time defending champion Paul Simson tied for third along with Brady Exbert, finishing 1-over for the tournament.
Paul Schlachter took fifth place after rounds of 71-75-73.
In the Super Senior Division, Don Marsh won by five shots. He shot 72-71-73 to cruise past runner-up John Cuomo. John Blank (73-75-74) was third.
