Ryan Cornfield hangs on at The Berkshire Trophy
BERKSHIRE, England (June 22, 2014) -- Ryan Cornfield shot a final-round 67 to take home The Berkshire Trophy Sunday at The Berkshire Golf Club.
Cornfield entered the final-round even with David Corben and pulled it out by a shot when Corben shot 68.
Mike Hearne, who shot a second-round 66, closed with rounds of 70-72 to tie for second place.
Second-round co-leaders Scott Gregory and Louis Hirst fell to ties for fourth and seventh place, respectively. Gregory bounced back from a third-round 76 with a closing 69 while Hirst shot 67-70-76-70 over the course of the event's four rounds.
The Berkshire Trophy is a 72-hole international event and is among the most prestigious amateur events in England.

Competitors play one round on
both The Blue and The Red Course at
Berkshire
Golf Club on the Saturday as the qualifying
rounds with the leading 40 scores and ties
going through to play two further rounds on
The Red Course on the Sunday. If two or more
players are tied after 72 holes they share the trophy;
there is no playoff.
