Philadelphia Chapman Cup: 2 share 1st-round lead

PHOENIXVILLE, Penn. (June 23, 2014) -- Thomas Bartolacci, Jr. and Bert Kosup both shot 1-over 71 to take a share of the early lead at the 2014 Frank H. Chapman Memorial Cup at The Springhaven Club.
Heading out in the morning, Bartolacci raced out to the early advantage and sits two shots better than a group of five players tied for fourth at 3-over 73.
Kosup wrapped up his afternoon round, going 1-under through the final seven holes.
Among those tied for fourth is Chip Lutz, the recent National Hall of Fame Senior Amateur winner and a longtime force in regional and national senior play. Lutz won this event last year.
In the Super Senior Division, Curt Fromal, Richard Speranza and Thomas O'Rourke all shot 3-over 73 and are tied for the lead.

Chapman Memorial Cup
Format: Eighteen hole individual stroke play.
Eligibility: Open to Senior male golfers, 55 years of
age and older. Players must be members of
a GAP Member Club with a USGA Handicap Index of
7.0 or lower. A Super Senior may play in the
"Seniors
Tournament," playing from the Senior Tees.
