Top seed Nathan Smith falls at Penn. Match Play

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. (July 8, 2014) -- Eric Williams knocked off top-seed and defending champion Nathan Smith to advance to the semifinal round at the 2014 Pennsylvania Match Play Championship at Sunnehanna Country Club.
In the 11th playing of the event, named for legendary amateur R. Jay Sigel, Williams moves on to face 12th seeded Mariano Medico in Wednesday's semifinal.
Medico remained alive after defeating No. 5 Artie Fink and No. 13 Wesley Turiano on Tuesday.
No. 2 Patrick Ross and sixth-seeded James Kania Jr. will square off against each other in the other semifinal on Wednesday.
