EDMOND, Okla. (July 13, 2014) -- Reigning U.S. Mid-Amateur champion showed he can succeed at the senior level, too, coming from behind to earn low amateur honors at the 2014 U.S. Senior Open at Oak Tree National.

McCoy and Jeff Wilson were the only two amateurs to make the weekend cut and Wilson seemed in control of the coveted amateur honor before McCoy's final-round 71 slid him into a tie for 26th -- 12 shots off the winning pace set by Colin Montgomerie.

Wilson, who was within five shots of the first-round lead after an opening 1-under 70, shot 77 in Sunday's finale.
