Lead narrows for Slutzky at Illinois Amateur
WHEATON, Ill. (July 16, 2014) -- Chadd Slutzky kept his lead at the Illinois Amateur on Wednesday, but it shrunk.
He posted a one-over 73 in the second round to follow up his first round 66, and holds a two stroke lead over the field, down from the four strokes he had after the first round.
His round included 17 pars and a single bogey.
Kyle Kochevar moved into second place after a two-under 70 vaulted him up the leaderboard.
Raymond Knoll fired the low round of the day with a five-under 67, which included a streak of five straight birdies on the back nine. He holds the solo third place position.
Defending champion Tee-K Kelly shot one-under 71 on Wednesday for an even-par 144 total and is currently tied for 10th.
