Robbie Ziegler
MEQUON, Wisc. (July 22, 2014) -- Robbie Ziegler followed his first-round 66 with a 1-over 71 and holds a five-shot lead at the 113th Wisconsin State Amateur.
At Ozaukee Country Club, Ziegler is five shots up on Christopher Colla entering the third of four rounds in the 72-hole stroke-play event.
Joe Weber, Mitchell Johnson, Brandon Cloete, Tyler Schmude and Zach Gaugert are all tied for third and still very much in the hunt.
Last year's champion, Jordan Niebrugge, who won the event in between victories at the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship and the prestigious Western Amateur, is not in the field this year.
