Steven Chung wins Antioch City Amateur
ANTIOCH, Calif. (August 24, 2014) — Steven Chung shot an eight-under par 136 — back-to-back 68s — to hold off St.Mary's University star Mac Marr by one stroke to win his first Antioch City Amateur title. Antioch Hall-of-Famer Scott Olds finished two shots back in third place and another local favorite, Taylor Hobin, took fourth with a three-under par 139.
Chung was a first-round co-leader with Zack Sims. The lead group battled it out on their final nine holes, with the title still in the balance until the final hole.
Sims shot 76 on Sunday and finished in a tie for tenth place.
In the senior flight, Ralph Costanzo won with a three-under 141, holding off two of Northern California's top senior players, Scott Anderson and Jim Knoll by one and two strokes.
