Aaron Wise wins Inland Empire Amateur by five

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (September 1, 2014) — Aaron Wise, from Lake Elsinore, Calif., cruised to a five-shot win at the Inland Empire Amateur on Monday.
Wise, who will be a freshman this fall at the University of Oregon, shot rounds of 70-69-68 at three separate courses in the Inland Empire region, including the 68 at Victoria Country Club on day three.
Second-place finisher Bryan Shin jumped back into contention on Monday with a 68 after he struggled to a 75 on Sunday at Goose Creek Golf Course. He finished a stroke ahead of a trio of players tied for third place, including Robert Funk, Sahith Theegala, and Blake Humbles at two-under par 213.
Cody Hall and Agostino Milazzo, who were tied for second place after the second day, both fell back on Monday, shooting 73 and 74 respectively to drop back.
Hall, this year's Los Angeles County Match Play winner, finished in a tie for sixth while Milazzo, a sophomore at Long Beach State, tied for eighth.
