LATROBE, Pa. (Sept. 18, 2014) — In an annual meeting between the best amateurs from the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association and the best professionals from the Tri-State PGA, The Palmer Cup matches were a close contest in 2014 at Latrobe Country Club.
Winning by a score of 9 to 8 were the amateurs of the WPGA, led by four-time U.S. Mid-Amateur champion Nathan Smith.
