Jim Brown captures World Super Seniors title
CLEMMONS, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2014) — Rounds of 74, 73, and 73 allowed Jim Brown of Loudon, Tenn. to overtake second-round leader Edward Craig on Thursday to win the World Super Seniors Championship.

Craig had carded 72-73 on Tuesday and Wednesday and led Brown by two shots. But Craig stumbled on Wednesday with a final-round 79, allowing Brown to sneak into the lead and keep it.

Michael Sanger finished in second place with three straight rounds of 74 while Stan Fischer's 69 on Wednesday gave him sole possession of third place after opening the tournament with 76-78.

In the 75-79 division, Fred Cahall took home the title at a 54-hole total of 229, winning in a playoff over Ron Morgan.

In the 80-plus group, Boyd Johnson won by a ridiculous margin of 25. He finished the event at 211, shooting rounds of 68, 71, and 72 — all well below his age.

The tournament took place at the Championship Course at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, N.C.
