Trevor Hyde repeats at Hill Country Golf Classic with new teammate
KERRVILLE, Texas (Nov. 9, 2014) — Trevor Hyde won last year's Hill Country Golf Classic with Zan Terry. This year, he had a different parter — Phillip Earnest — and still took home the overall title in the popular best-ball event.

The pair shot 64-65 in the first two rounds, played at Scott Schriener Municipal Golf Course and Riverhill Country Club, then posted 69 on the final day at The Club at Camanche Trace to take home a two-shot win.

Aaron Billings and Mikey Scott came in second place thanks to a final-round 66. They opened with 64 and were tied for the eventual winners but shot just 70 on Saturday. They finished four shots ahead of the two teams tied for third place at 204.

ABOUT THE James Avery Invitational

Formerly known as the James Avery Invitational, this is a 54-hole two-man best-ball tournament played at Riverhill, Scott Schreiner, and Comanche Trace golf clubs in the Kerrville area. Championship and Senior Championship (both players ages 50+) flights, with additional flights determined by by handicap. Different flights play a different rotation of the host courses. Lower flights play a scramble, shamble, and best-ball.
