Corey Conners tied for lead at Argentine Amateur

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (Nov. 11, 2014) — Canada's top amateur player Corey Conners has a shares of the first-round lead with Nicolaas Arnoldi of South Africa at the Argentine Amateur Championship.
Conners and Arnoldi posted six-under rounds of 66 and had very similar rounds, both recording an eagle on a par-five, though Conners did not make a bogey while Arnoldi recorded one.
Three players — Marco Iten, Alejandro Perazzo, and Gustavo Morantes — are tied for third place at 67.
Eighteen more holes will be played on Wednesday to conclude stroke play qualifying before the match play portion of the tournament is set, with 64 players advancing to the bracket.
