Frenchman Max De Craecker leads Orlando City Amateur
ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 14, 2014) — After one round at the 54-hole Orlando Men's City Amateur, Max De Craecker of France holds a one-shot lead over Jim Kelly and Derek Camps.

De Craecker shot 69 while Kelly and Camps carded 70's. Alexander Blue and Doug Snoap are two back with 71's while three others are in at 72. Overall, 22 players are within six shots with 36 holes to go at Dubsdread Golf Course.

Notable Florida golfer Sam Horsfield, who is originally from England, captured the 2013 title but is not in the field this year.

This year's St. Augustine Amateur winner Edward Richardson is in the field, and posted 72 on Friday.

ABOUT THE Orlando City Amateur

The Orlando City Amateur is a flighted 54-hole event played at the historic Dubsdread Golf Course. The tournament has a Championship Flight, Senior Division & Open Flights. Eligibility for this event is for ages 15 and up with a verifiable handicap index of 12 or lower. There is no residency requirement. Past champions of the Orlando City Am have gone on to play college and professional golf all the way up to the PGA Tour.
