McCoy, Christovich share lead at Crane Cup

PALM CITY, Fla. (Nov 15, 2014) — Scores were
lower on Saturday at Floridian as two players as
two players who entered the second round three
or more shots back of the lead are now
sharing a two-shot advantage with 18 holes to
play at the Crane Cup.
The
2012 champion Patrick Christovich (right), as
well as
2013 U.S. Mid-Amateur champion Mike McCoy
are three-under through 36 holes and lead by
two over two first-round co-leaders, Jamie Miller
and Skip Berkmeyer.

Miller, Berkmeyer, as well as Dan Keogh, carded
68's on Friday and together held the first-
round lead by one.
McCoy, a native of West Des Moines, Iowa,
posted the lowest round of the tournament thus
far,
a 67, while Christovich, who won the event in
November of 2012, put up a 68.
Defending champion Colby Harwell bounced back
from an opening-round 74 with a 69 on
Saturday. He is just four shots back in a tie for
eighth place.
In the
senior division, Rick Woulfe (left) put a 69 up on
the
board for the second straight day and he will
take a one-shot lead over Doug Hanzel into the
final round.
Hanzel's 67 was the lowest senior score of the
day.
Peter Wegmann is in third place at one-under,
three shots behind Woulfe.
