New Mexico commit Sean Carlon leads San Diego Junior

JAMUL, Calif. (Dec. 30, 2014) — Two rounds are compete at the San Diego Junior Amateur, and University of New Mexico commit Sean Carlon of Albuquerque leads the field by two shots after posting 66-73.
Carlon, who will play for the Lobos next fall, holds a two-shot lead over Taisei Negishi of Japan and Cooper Wayment of Mesa, Ariz. with 18 holes to play.
This event, run by Future Champions Golf, prides itself in being the premier winter break event for juniors in the United States.
Oregon freshman Aaron Wise, who is currently leading the Patriot All-America out in Phoenix, won this event in 2013.
