MORGAN HILL, Calif. (Jan. 11, 2015) — Jonny Baxter led by two shots after day one of the AmateurGolf.com Silicon Valley Amateur and ended up winning by five shots.

A great two-day total of 137 helped Baxter, a former UC Davis golfer, close the deal thanks to a two-under par 70 on Sunday. He had four birdies and two bogeys on day two.

In second place was Roman Aragon, a freshman at St. Mary's College with a two-day total of 142. There was a two-way tie for third with Connor Blick, another St. Mary's golfer, and Ryan Gronlund -- a freshman on the SMU golf team -- at 144.

The impressive senior flight was won by first day leader Scott Anderson of Danville. His 71-75 was three better than Terry Foreman and four better than Steve Donnelly and Ralph Costanzo.

The net flight was won with a score of 152 by Bart Goldie while Annie Bowlsby won the ladies flight.
