USC runs away with Jones Invitational
Sean Crocker
VALENCIA, Calif. — The University of Southern California ran away with a 16-shot win at the Jones Invitational, hosted by Pepperdine University at Valencia Country Club.
Freshman Sean Crocker tied for medalist honors with Zach Seabolt of Winthrop, but lost the title in a playoff. Still, Crocker's eight-under par total, along with a top-five performance from sophomore Rico Hoey, pushed the Trojans to their huge win.
Kennesaw State took second place, shooting two-over during the 54-hole tournament. Teremoana Beaucousin, a sophomore, was third individually, despite a two-over 74 on the final day.
