LOMPOC, Calif. — Playing one of the most difficult, if not the most difficult golf course in all of California, 2014 SCGA Mid-Amateur winner Ramie Sprinkling of Camarillo posted back-to-back rounds of 74 to win the Lompoc City Amateur Championship.

Sprinkling was in a playoff with Jonny Hogan at La Purisima Golf Course at four-over par 148, with Hogan shooting 72-76. Hogan, of Santa Ynez, led after the first round by two over Sprinkling and Patrick Carrigan.

The most impressive feat of the tournament might have been Oliver Rheinfurth's final round 70, which after an 82 on Saturday, jumped the former UCLA golfer up into the top-three. His round was the lowest score of the event by two.
