Juan Gonzalez wins Roseville City Championship
ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Juan Gonzalez won the Roseville City Amateur Championship thanks to his final-round 69 at Woodcreek Golf Club.
Trailing first-round leader Jay Lignell by three after playing the easier Diamond Oaks Golf Course, Gonzalez shot the only round below 70 at the more difficult Woodcreek to take home the title by three shots.
Lignell struggled on Sunday, relinquishing his one-shot lead with an 83 to finish tied for 15th.
Jay Weiss of Santa Clara took second place at one-under par 143 while Quinn Carlsen of El Dorado Hills grabbed third at 144.
Senior results will be posted as soon as they are received.
