Jon Rahm goes wire-to-wire to repeat at Spanish Stroke Play
VIZCAYA, Spain — Arizona State senior Jon Rahm, who made headlines earlier this year by tying for fifth at the PGA Tour's Waste Management Open, posted three consecutive rounds of 3-under par 69 at the Spanish Stroke Play — a tournament in which he was defending.

Rahm coasted to a three-stroke win with a final-round 74 on Sunday, beating Iowa State golfer Scott Fernandez who closed with 73.

The win pops Rahm back into the top spot in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings, overtaking University of Texas junior Beau Hossler by 115 points. Rahm held the top spot earlier in the year before Hossler took over with performances like a win at the John Hayt Collegiate, and top-10s at the Big 12 Championship, NCAA South Central Regional, and two other collegiate events.

Shooting a Sunday 69 and tying for third was University of Central Arkansas graduating senior Pep Angles, alongside Texas A&M senior Adria Arnaus.
