It was an up-and-down day for Reinertson, but he finished with birdies on the last two holes to win by one stroke over Bellevue’s Jose Vega. Reinertson hit his tee shot to three feet on the par 3 17th hole and made birdie, then out of a difficult lie in the rough above a fairway bunker he hit his approach shot close on No. 18. The putt dropped and Reinertson capped his third straight 71 (-1) to post 286 (-2) to win.

Vega grabbed the lead with birdies on Nos. 11 and 12, but dropped back with a bogey on No. 16. Play- ing ahead of Reinertson, he nearly made it to 2-under as his birdie putt on No. 18 hung on the lip and did not fall. He had the lead at 287 (-1) after a Final Round 71 (-1), until Reinertson’s birdie-birdie finish.

Reinertson caught fire on the back nine after a front nine 38 (+2), he birdied the par 5 11th to get back to even-par. The par 4 12th hole was playing up at 266 yards to the flagstick, and Reinertson hit the green with an iron and two-putted for a birdie to get to 1-under.

Reinertson parred No. 13, but didn’t make another par after that. He followed a bogey on No. 14 with an up-and-down for birdie on the par 5 15th hole. He then had a good look for birdie on No. 16, but three- putted for bogey to drop to even-par. That’s when he turned it around and closed out his championship with back-to-back birdies.

Brunswick’s Sam Meuret got off to a hot start and grabbed the lead early with two birdies in his first four holes. He birdied No. 9 and No. 11 to get to 3-under with the lead, but bogeyed three of the final seven holes to finish at even-par 288 in third place.

The 2014 Nebraska Golfer of the Year Carson Schaake of Omaha made a late push with birdies on Nos. 14 and 15, but fell short with his Final Round 74 (+2), finishing in fourth place at 290 (+2).

Omaha’s Alex Schaake shot a final round 74 (+2) to finish at 293 (+5) as the Low Junior. Former Husker Calvin Freeman fired the round of the championship to move up to a tie for 5th place. Freeman shot a 5- under 67 and finished at 292 (+4) in a tie for fifth with Lincoln’s Patrick Hanzel, who shot a Final Round 69 (-3), and the 2015 Nebraska Match Play Runner-Up Lance Lawson of Norfolk.
