ATLANTA, Ga. — Play failed to finish at the inaugural East Lake Cup on Monday due to an early rain delay, but there were still plenty of performances to note on Day One at East Lake Golf Club.

In the men's division, Georgia leads LSU 3-1-1 after darkness suspended play, and Illinois garnered a 4-0-1 advantage over USC going into Tuesday morning.

A juggernaut Duke squad leads Stanford 4-1 on the women's side. The other female match is a tight contest between USC and Baylor, with the Trojans leading 2-1-2.

While none of the team semifinal contests finished up in totality in Atlanta, some individual contests did. And a few players stood out, regardless.

Georgia's Jaime Lopez Rivarola roasted LSU's Brandon Pierce 7 and 5 on the East Lake layout. Fellow Bulldog Lee McCoy is 5 up through nine holes on Eric Ricard, while LSU's Sam Burns has Sepp Straka 5 down through 13 at day's end.

For the women, USC's Kyung Kim posted the only blowout with a 6-and-4 triumph over Giovana Maymon. Duke's Gurbani Singh beat Stanford's Shannon Aubert, 3 and 2.

The East Lake Cup is a two-day match-play competition between the 2015 NCAA Championship semifinalists on the men's side and on the women's side.
