Ashley Grosvenor leads by three at Australian Mid-Amateur

ARUNDEL, Australia — Shooting 1-under par 71 in the second round of the Australian Mid-Amateur was Ashley Grosvenor, who jumped from one back into a three-stroke lead entering the final round at Arundel Hills Golf Club.
Jeff Lefevre held the first-round lead at 74, with Grosvenor and Rhys Watkins trailing a stroke behind at 75. Lefevre dropped into sixth place after struggling to an 80 in the second round.
Mark Boulton and John McMiles share second place at five-over par 149 and will need a strong finish on Friday to contend for the title with Grosvenor.
