RICHMOND, Va. — Jay and Steve Serrao posted back-to-back rounds of 69 at the Willow Oaks Fall Invitational for a slim one-shot victory over two teams finishing runner-up at 139.
The eventual winning team trailed Brandon Grogan and Dylan Jensen by three after the first round. Grogan and Jensen shot 73 on Saturday and settled for second place. Chris Stout and Philip Mahone came in with 68 in the final round, which was tied for the lowest score of the day with Tony Good and Matt Rutherford, to grab a share of second.
Defending champions Larry Loving, Jr. and Scott Campbell came in at 143 and tied for seventh place.
In the Senior division, Allen Barber and Bob Bailey captured a one-stroke victory of their own, posting 68 in the final round to build off 67 and narrowly defeat John Howson and Henry Blue. The first and second place finishing duos were one back of the 66 fired by Buddy Patch and Mark Adams after the first round, but moved ahead on day two as Patch and Adams carded 71 on Saturday.
