Kyle Michel wins the Dunes Medal in Australia
Kyle Michel
RYE, Victoria — Despite posting a final round 10 shots higher than runner-up Blake Proverbs, Kyle Michel put his name on the Dunes Medal trophy.
After 54-holes, Michel stood at 4-under while Proverbs was at 7-over. Playing two groups in front of the leaders, Proverbs charged to a 4-under 68 while Michel posted 78 -- just good enough to avoid a playoff.
The tournament is held annually at The Dunes Golf Links on Victoria, Australia's Mornington Peninsula.
At the Women's Dunes Medal, Hira Naveed took the title, posting 3-over 291.
