Bob Kearney stays hot with Old Corkscrew Senior win

ESTERO, Florida (January 6, 2016) -- It seems that Bob Kearney is a man you can never count out. The number-one ranked senior player from Houston, TX started his final round seven strokes behind round 2 leader Mike Arnold, but on a day when most scores went up, Kearney posted a 73 (228 total) for a one-stroke win.
Stephen Sharpe of Greensboro, NC, Sam Till of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Bill Zlystra of Ocklawaha, FL finished tied for second with a 54-hole total of 229.
Kearney, who started 2015 by winning the Old Corkscrew, also won the Kingsway Senior, the Society of Seniors Championship, and finished the year with a win at the Golfweek Senior Tour Championship.
Kearney will represent the United States in April at the 2016 Concession Cup, an amateur team match play competition that takes place every two years between the U.S., Great Britain and Ireland.
In the Super Senior Division, Peter Allen of Southport, NC won it with a 3-day total of 229, while Jim Kamis (Marietta, GA) and Berger Warner (Ocala, FL) finished tied for second at 231.
Don Wood of Louisville, KY won the Legends Division.

The event is a 54 hole individual stroke play
tournament for amateurs fifty-five years and
over. The tournament includes a
Senior Division (age 55- 64); Super-Senior
Division (65 and over);
and a Legends Division (70 and over), the
Legends
Division plays from the same yardage and
tees as the Super-Senior Division.
Participants
must reach the minimum age requirement in
each division bracket by the first tournament
round.
