Tied with Papp is Beverly Hills, Calif. native Mika Liu. Liu's third-round 67 tied for low of the tournament and vaulted her into the mix. Liu will have plenty of winning experience to draw on as past champion of both the Women's Western and Southern Amateurs. She attends the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla committed to play for Stanford in 2017.
The only other player within five shots of the lead is University of Central Florida junior Ashley Holder. Holder opened with 67 and backed it up with rounds of 75 and 72 to sit just one shot back of the Liu and Papp.
