Florida crushes field at Sea Best Invitational

A very strong Florida Gator team opened their Spring Season in grand fashion, lapping the field on the way to a huge victory at the Sea Best Invitational on the Valley Course of the TPC Sawgrass.
The Gators, who opened with a first-round 265, tied for the lowest round score in school history and is Florida's best team round in relation to par since 2010. They finished with a three-day total of 826 (265-278-283), a humbling 23-stroke victory over second-place finishers Liberty University (849).
Sam Horsfield, who after the first round was tied for second overall with teammate Alejandro Tosti, won individual honors by going even par on the final day and finishing with a 7-under 203. Tosti finished second overall, carding a 3-over 73 on the final round to finish with a 4-under 206.
Jorge Garcia finished T-4 with a 1-under 209, tying him with teammate Ryan Orr. Four of the top five finishers were Gators, showing their team domination.
As a team, Liberty had the lowest final round score with a 280, led by Michael DeMorat and Hutson Chandler, who each fired 69 to help their team drop to 2nd place. Gabriel Lench who tied for 7th in the individual scoring, carded a team-low 211.
Arkansas finished in a tie for third place, with Kolton Crawford leading the charge for the Razorbacks with a 211, leaving him T-7 overall. Joshua Martin, who held the individual lead after the first two rounds, finished T-3 and helped his North Carolina Tarheels end up tied for third themselves.
Tournament host Jacksonville University finished in a tie for 12th place with neighbor Jacksonville State University.
