Monterey Four-Ball: First Round Results

PACIFIC GROVE, California (March 5, 2016) -- Two-time defending champions Jeff Britton and Jerry Ledzinski had a pretty amazing run of scores going the last two years of the Monterey Four-Ball.
How's this?
For two years in a row, their consecutive rounds are 61-62-63-64.
Today, their 4-under 66 just missed keeping the run going, which is probably just fine with the two friends from Carmel and Pacific Grove. They are trying to win their third consecutive tournament here, and currently stand 1 stroke behind leaders, father and son team Jack and Jason Anthony who fired 65.
Also tied at 66 are Anthony Nevin and Dom De Bellis.
In the Senior division, Casey Boyns and Mark Miller are also trying to defend. They fired 63 to take a 2-shot lead into the final round over the team of Charles Richesin and Mitch Harrison. Richesin had a hot putter, and both players seemed to feed off each other, especially when the weather got tough on the back nine and they made a couple of key pars after being 5-under early.
In the Net Division, Charles Balisha and John Borreli fired a solid 8-under 62 to open up a 2-shot lead heading into the final round.
