Jon Veneziano and Doug Snoap win Florida Mid/Senior Four-Ball

DELAND, FL (March 20, 2016)--Jon Veneziano and Doug Snoap (-14) won the 13th Annual Florida Senior/Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship at the Country Club of Winter Haven. The duo won by five over the team of Bobby Bird and Matthew Avril (-9).
Jon Veneziano paired with Doug LaCrosse to win the Florida Mid/Senior Four-Ball in 2014.
Each team was required to have a mid-amateur (25-54) and a senior (55+) and the competition was conducted over 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. The entire tournament was contested on Sunday after rain wiped out play on Saturday.
Veneziano (Mount Dora, FL) and Snoap (Apopka, FL) shot a first round 3-under par 69 before exploding with an 11-under par 61 in the second round. The two began their second round on No. 10 and birdied eight of nine holes on the back nine. Their only par came on No. 14. They birdied three more on the front side to post a winning total of 130.
Three teams finished at 8-under par and in a third place tie.

Florida Senior/Mid-Am Four-Ball
The Senior/Mid-Am Four-Ball, previously
called
the Junior Senior, pairs one senior player and
one mid-amateur player. The pair will play 36
holes of four-ball stroke play and will be
flighted after 18 holes. Entrants must both be
members of the FSGA. One partner over 55
years of age, one partner 25-54 years old.
