Texas Remains No. 1 in Spring Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll

NORMAN, OK (April 22, 2016) - Texas held on to the No. 1 ranking in the latest issue of the Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Longhorns received 16 first-place votes.

Illinois, Georgia and Southern California stayed in spots 2-4 and each garnered a first-place vote. Stanford moved up two spots to No. 5 and is followed by Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, Auburn and Arizona State. Florida jumped up five rungs to enter the top- 10.

Oregon reentered the top 25 at No. 24.

Washington dropped from the ranking.

MAJOR MOVERS

Two of the biggest movers in this weeks Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll were LSU and Florida both of the SEC. The Tigers jumped from No. 19 to No. 13 on the strength of a second place finish at the Aggie Invitational and fifth place finish at last weeks SEC Championships.

Florida in the meantime moved from No. 15 to No. 10 after a pair of top-3 showings. At the Mason Rudolph the Gators were second and at the SEC Championship they were tied for third.
