Golfweek Senior: Burda and Hudson set for Final Round two man battle

LA QUINTA, CA (April 25, 2016) - Jeff Burda and Steve Hudson appear to be set for a final round duel at the Golfweek Senior Amateur. After 36-holes at the PGA West Stadium Course, Burda (-4) holds a slim one-stroke lead over Hudson (-3). Vern Spurlock in third place is the next closest player at 4-over and seven off the lead.
Burda, coming off a second place finish at the Senior Masters, followed a first round 69 up with a 1-under 71 on Monday. During his second round Burda carded three birdies and two bogeys.
Steve Hudson the winner of this years Senior Masters will attempt to chase down Burda during Wednesday's final round. Hudson will be looking for his second win this month as he looks to build on rounds of 70-71.
The leader in the Super Senior Division is Jody Vasquez (+1). He leads Richard Alarid (+3) by two.
It will be a three-way race in the Legend's Division with Gaylord Davis (+5) leading Walt Martin (+6) by one and Joe Pavoni (+7) by two-strokes.
