Schorgl, Walsworth win Kansas Senior Team by two
LAWRENCE, KS (May 3, 2016) - A birdie, birdie finish did the trick for Charlie Schorgl and Ed Walsworth as they won the Kansas Senior Team Championship by two-strokes. The due saved their best round for last closing with a 2-under 68 after rounds of 73-75 at Lawrence Country Club.
Schorgl and Walsworth approached the 17th tee even-par for the day and needing to make something happen and they did just that posting the winning 6-over tally. The round of the day went to David Carson and Gary Lucas with a 4-under 66 to finish 8-over and two-strokes behind in second place.
David Cunningham and Scott Richey finished third with a score of 9-over while Mark Addington and Steve Groom were fourth at 11-over. Two teams finished 16-over, tied for fifth.
In the Super Senior Division Lynn Dickey and Rob Gleissner won the title by three-strokes.
