Past Pasadena City champion Dan Sullivan holds 36-hole lead

PASADENA, CA (May 20, 2016) - Dan Sullivan has now lead after each of the fist two rounds of the Pasadena City Golf Championship. Sullivan has put together rounds of 68-70 on the Brookside Golf Club Courses #1 and #2 and leads Dan Erickson by one shot as the players prepare for the weekend.
Sullivan, 4-under, is in search of his second Pasadena City Amateur after winning the title in 2014. He is currently the 60th ranked amateur in California.
Erickson sits at 3-under in second place while Hagen Fell is in third place and 1-over through 36-holes. Marc Reyes (+2) is in fourth and Robert Wilson (+3) completes the top-five.
ROUND ONE RECAP
Dan Sullivan, the 2014 Pasadena City champion has jumped out to a two-stroke first round lead. Sullivan opened with a 4-under 68 at the Brookside Golf Club Course #1 as he looks for his second title in three years.
Sullivan, the 60th ranked amateur in California, began his round with two birdies on the front nine before striking for three more on the back nine, his only bogey on the day came at No. 16. Over the years Sullivan has had much success at the Pasadena City finishing in the top-10 seven out of the last nine years. Sullivan is off to a strong start this year with top-10 finishes at the Kelly Cup and Rancho Santa Margarita Amateur.
Hagen Fell is presently 2-under and in second place after a three birdie, one bogey round while Johnny Brandt and Kyle Robinson share third at 1-under.
Sullivan, Fell, Brandt and Robinson are the other four players under-par after the first round of the Pasadena City.

The Championship Flight is an open flight (no

limit) conducted over 54 holes. The field will be
cut to the top 30% and ties after 36 holes, to
play
the finals on Course #1 Sunday.
Net Flights are open to all players 18 or older
with
12-month low handicap index ranging from 2.7
to
31.5. The field will be divided into
six flights to play over 54 holes. Cut after
Saturday
rounds to 30% and ties for all flights. Finals for
all
Net Flights are to be played on Course 1 on
Sunday.
