SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- First-round co-leader Logan Lowe shot a final round 2-under 70 to secure the 95th Sacramento City Championship at Haggin Oaks Golf Course.

Lowe, a native of Grass Valley, Calif. and rising sophomore at George Washington University, adds the Sacramento City to his growing list of accomplishments which includes Alantic 10 all-conference and advancing to the round of 16 in the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur.

Eric Olsem finished one shot behind Lowe, holing a 70-foot eagle putt on the last hole to post back-to-back 69's and 6-under par. Ryan Gronlund finished solo third with rounds of 70 and 69.

The 103rd annual Sacramento City Men's Golf Championship will be contested at the Alister MacKenzie GC at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex on Saturday and Sunday, June 8-9, 2024.

The tournament is open to all male amateur golfers with a current World Handicap System (WHS) Index of 5.0 or less.

The tournament format is stroke play over 36 holes with 18 holes each day and a maximum of 108 players. Play will be in groups of three with 9 minute intervals from the 1st tee starting at 7:00 AM. Sunday pairings will be based on Saturday scores with the leaders competing at the end of the field.

The entry fee is $205 per player and includes green fees and range balls for both days and prize fund - power carts are not included. The player with the 36- hole low score will be declared the 2024 Sacramento City Men’s Amateur Champion. His name will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy and he will receive a crystal to take home. The awards presentation will immediately follow play at the large tournament scoreboard. Approximately 25% of the field will be awarded with merchandise certificates. All merchandise certificates are redeemable at either Haggin Oaks, Bing Maloney or Bartley Cavanaugh golf shops.

Players wishing to use this tournament as a qualifier for the State Fair Amateur must pay an additional $25 during entry. To qualify for the SFC, you must finish in the top 20 in the City Men’s Amateur field.

The entry deadline is May 23, 2024.
